Anti-American?

We hope you enjoyed the first episode. (Quick fact check for those who listen closely: the Magna Carta was written 500 years before the Declaration of Independence, not 700.) In the interest of sparking conversation, here is a followup question. In a country with a permeable constitution, what if anything may be considered “anti-American?”

  1. It has changed and can continue to be changed. Fluid might be a better word. There have been 27 amendments to the constitution so far, ten of which were proposed and ratified almost immediately after the country was established. It is also interesting that the 21st amendment repealed the 18th amendment. Essentially, because of this aspect of the United States’ constitution and our varied history, there is a constant flux in what is considered “American.”
